Question

I had the "check engine" light appear for about a minute or so on my MY00 Impreza Turbo (UK spec) during my drive from home back to work (5 mins worth).

It went off after about a minute of being on and stayed off. the car is very low on fuel (petrol warning light just come on) and I was driving at around 2.5k rpm (not thrashing it as it wasnt warmed up)

The cars standard apart from a Magnex back box and ITG

Any ideas?

Neil

Take it to a dealer/someone with Delta Dash and see if there are any historic error codes.....

Neil,

Connect the two BLACK cables under the steering column together and turn the ignition on (don't start the engine).

It should flash what the error code was - long and short flashes.

If it's 32 for example, it'll flash 3 long and 2 short, then it'll repeat the code.

Have a look here to see what the code is

Reading ECU codes
