Default Clutch replacement

Looks like I need to replace the clutch in my 52 plate Bugeye. Now the mechanic I use has asked me if its an early or late clutch?

Car was registered in September 2002 but I dont know if that automatically makes it a late one or not.

Im hoping someone can confirm it one way or the other.
