MY01 clutch judder
#1
I find the clutch judder on my MY01 far worse than it ever got on my MY99, even though I have given it exactly the same sympathetic treatment. Is this common, only I don't recall seeing any threads about judder on the new model?
Basically it still judders in first long after the car has warmed up.
Thanks,
Gareth

Take it to your dealer, it might be a distorted clutch.
If it is then it is a warrenty case, if it is burnt out then you pay dearly for it!

Mine does the odd judder when it's warm too actually. If you're worried, get it back into the dealer and get them to check it.Just for info,I did the same for mine (A Belgian import) and the dealer wanted to charge me labour for removing the gearbox etc,etc which he said I would get back if the clutch proved faulty and Belgium sanctioned a new clutch.Downside is,clutches aren't covered under the belgian warranty so I declined!!!!

Clutches are covered to a point under UK warrenty.
Distorted/damaged due to defect clutches are covered. As is the labour.
Burnt clutches are not and they are expensive!
