I have just fitted the Magnex centre section with resonator. What I wanted to know was weather I should tighten the bolts with the springs fully as I have noticed that the springs were nearly fully compressed and the nut was still tightening up. I did use the longer bolts supplied with the exhaust. Should you leave a bit of slack to allow it to flex?

Stuart,

Fitted one about 6 months ago. Junked the original springs(& bolts) as they weren't quite long enough. Replaced with stainless bolts, nuts and washers - no problems with leaks or rattles.

I think the instructions I got with my Maxnex centre was the tighten the bolts until there was a 10mm gap between the flanges all round the pipe
