Default Clutch slip question

Clutch has started to slip at full boost on my classic but the bite point is still halfway down the peddle travel. The peddle does feel sluggish. Normally I would have expected the bite to be near the top of the peddle if plate has gone. Is this normal on as only had a clutch break before in 270k of happy ru motoring. Can you tell a ru clutch s worn by bite point position.

Get in 3rd/4th gear at a low speed and put your foot down, You`ll soon know if it is slipping as you wont gain speed and the revs will rise

I know it is slipping but come on really sudden. What I want to know is should the bite point change on a scoob as the clutch plate wears. I am assuming it is down to the rivets but all non scoobs that I have driven have shown a high bite point or non existant bite point when clutch plate has worn. How do you tell if a clutch is wearing apart from when it starts to slip?
Booked into clinic so will get it sorted just interested for future.

The bit point won't change if its a hydraulic clutch when it wears unlike a cable operated clutch.

They are hydraulic but for every hydraulic clutch I have had in the past the bite point moved as the clutch wore.
