Question

Does anyone know the easy solution to getting a MOT with a Link ECU and De-cat exhaust fitted in the Manchester area.....if you know what I mean.

Nice one DH but I still dont fancy parting with 100 squid if I dont have to.

Any other ideas......there must be a scooby owner with the same problem in the NW.

Can't you just temporarily fit one of the cats, get it MOT'ed and then swap it back when you get home.I've heard Scoobs only need one cat to pass the mot anyway!!!!
I assume you kept the original parts of the exhaust before you upgraded?

Good luck!

It's unlikely that it will pass with the Link plus, say the centre cat. You'll have to replace the original ECU board then swap back afterwards. Mine, with Link and centre "sport" cat was nowhere near but replaced the original board and it flew through.

Nick, I can switch the Link because I have the original but I dont have the cat centre section. I see your in Cheshire. Have you got one lying around I could use for the day?

John, do you just simply switch the ECU's over? Is there anything else I have to do?

Yep, I just removed the Link board and screwed in the original, re-connected. No other changes (3 port boost solenoid) Didn't even bother to replace the ECU cover plate or put the carpet back into position for the MOT. You will of course need a cat! This is why I shelled out a lot of money on the Power Engineering sport cat.
