Getting an MOT with Link ECU and De-cat

Can't you just temporarily fit one of the cats,get it MOT'ed and then swap it back when you get home.I've heard Scoobs only need one cat to pass the mot anyway!!!!
I assume you kept the original parts of the exhaust before you upgraded?

Nick, I can switch the Link because I have the original but I dont have the cat centre section. I see your in Cheshire. Have you got one lying around I could use for the day?
John, do you just simply switch the ECU's over? Is there anything else I have to do?

Yep, I just removed the Link board and screwed in the original, re-connected. No other changes (3 port boost solenoid) Didn't even bother to replace the ECU cover plate or put the carpet back into position for the MOT. You will of course need a cat! This is why I shelled out a lot of money on the Power Engineering sport cat.
