my 99 scooby was popping out fifth gear on the motorway...then one day i couldnt select any gears, the gear selector was stuck in neutral but the gearbox was in reverse. ive read a few things that seem similar but not quite sure. does anyone have any ideas what might be happening?

 

Sounds like you need a new gearbox.once gears start locking into position you know your in a problem.
