Default Hawk Dccd Problem

hi guys bought a 06 Hawk STI Type UK, when its in auto mode there a clunking/knocking noise, but if i set it to manual and to the rear it doesnt happen? anyone have any idea on whats wrong? cars done just over 70k and has got FSH Thanks

Sounds perfectly normal, I presume you mean when manoeuvring at low speed ie. when parking or turning tight corners. Mine does it under these circumstances. Having the correct oil in the rear diff is more important on the Hawkeye Sti. My MY07 Spec C didn't like 75/90 in the rear. It's best with Silkolene BO90LS. Mine also didn't like Silkolene SilkTran Syn 5 in the Gearbox. I swopped it out to Castrol Syntrax.

As above, just try and remember to set it to fully open ( wheel all the way back) when reversing or have a tight turn like getting on the drive etc, has become second nature to me now, worried me at the start, I mean what a horrid noise lol

when i got a little frisky with it, the yellow dccd temp light flashed? and cut all power? is this normal sometimes?
