Hoping someone can help me out.

Was out tuning my 99 classic today.

At the end of the day noticed a loud clanking noise in the 3rd gear. There is no clanking when clutch is pushed in or in any other gears.
The clanking can be felt in the gear stick too. Also light crunching when chaning into 3rd gear.

Have put the car to bed until I can find a gearbox man to have a look.

Any ideas?
