Default lost 2nd gear classic

hey guys am new to subaru's but i have come up with a problem.i have lost 2nd gear.complete lock out as if it wasn't there.so had it on the ramps took the linkage away and tried getting all gears and yep got all 5.just wanted your guys views if you have had this before.there is alot of play in the u/j gearbox side.lever side has been poly bushed

I lost 2nd gear once, found it in lots of bits inside the box.

It makes a canny racket if you've stripped 2nd.

it wont go in full
stop so no noises
