Question

hi...

when serviced my gearbox oil is silkolene. however, it is currently on the low side and all i'm able to find around my way is castrol (of the same grade/rating though). is it a problem if i use castrol to periodically top it up, or should i keep trying to find the same silkolene that is currently in the car?

incidently, is it normal to have to top up transmission oil regularly?

thanks

No to the second question, and probably no to the first too (I wouldn't mix 'n' match, myself).

hi...

thanks for your reply. i'll just leave it and get them to top it up with the same stuff that's already in there when it's serviced next then.
