P1 engine tapping ?

Hi
I have noticed that when i leave my car for about 1 hour after driving it and start it up again i can here a tapping noise.It is not that loud,But i can here it more if i start it up in the garage,the noise goes away when it is warmed up.The engine is quite when the car is cold and when it is warmed up.I have had all of my tappets checked and there was one a bit tight which have had replaced,but the noise is still there.The garage said it could just be another tight tappet,as the engine is turned off the heads get warmer.
Has any body else noticed this on there P1s?
