Gerbox and Diff help Please
Hi huys just bought another daily impreza finally. Just trying to get heads of tails of what this car has fitted in/on it. Im sure gearbox and diff ratio dont match.
This is the gearbox number : TY754VBAAA which is a 4.44 Ratio
but, This car will still do 160mph??? (private grounds)
Ive also found it would of been fitted to a WRX RA without DCCD, What version???
Also, Where or how can i tell what diff is on the rear of the car??? Wheres its Idefication marks??
P.S the chassis plate is all incorrect.
Any help appreciated.

VBAAA is a P1 box and also JDM STi Vers 5 or 6 as above it needs a 4.4:1 rear diff. To check what diff you have all you can do is lift both the rear wheels and turn the prop The prop will go around x times for one turn of the wheel. Just be careful to note as it is not precise and 3.9 and 4.1 are not far apart.
It is also possible to count the crown wheel teeth through the diff filler plug hole.
Either way ought to save you taking the diff out.
Good Luck, David
