I have a 2001 bugeye UK300 which was converted to 6 speed non dccd before i owned it , but just recently the rear diff has started making a clunking noise on overrun and when cruising at speed with the gearbox in neutral, today i drained the oil out of it to find oil very contaminated with metal particles and also some larger bits of metal ,a bearing failure which looking at the gears has caused some other damage which meens i need to replace the rear diff !!
How do i find out which diff should be right to replace it with ?? part number location or markings on diff or getting the correct ratio ??

ok , i have the gearbox code TY856WN3CA , can anyone tell me the diff ratio from that ?

TY856WN3CA Has UK Ratios from a MY03, Suretrack front diff, Standard centre diff, and 1.1:1 drop gears

 

So you need a 3.545 rear diff We have that in stock if you wish, as a guaranteed unit.

but sold the car without fitting it - it is a 3.545
