Got a 1999 tiptronic legacy, recently had gearbox problems and it locked itself into drive and then wouldnt move, now we removed the box and got it up to a local transmission specialist but the prices quoted are more than the cars worth.

Started looking for a second hand box but this is not going to well what im looking for is a bit of info my box code is:TV1A4YBAAB now is this interchangeable with any other code ? also if i do find another tiptronic do i need to match the ecu? Thanks in advance
