Knock Sensor 2 Chassis measurement

Anyone measured the resistance of the Knock sensor connector to Ground.

The Pre96 Manual details disconnecting the sensor (in the engine bay) and measure the resistance between the sensor connector and the engine block. This should be 560 ohms approx.

I can't seem to get anything....

This happened to my sensor but it gave a CEL. I fitted a knocklink to be sure.

CEL.... what's a CEL and Error Code ?

CEL.....Check Engine Light, forget the number but it was knock sensor fault.

Not had a CEL yet, but from what you are saying, I guess that it should be reading 560ohms.

If you measure the knock sensor itself i.e off the car, I guess it should measure 560 from the connector to it's metal base ?
