Best 5 speed 330/330 clutch for trackdays?
Im after a clutch for my 2004 wrx 5 speed.
Gearbox is coming out soon due to 4th gear syncro problem and PPG gear set is going in.
I am still on the original clutch and after 39k miles and a dozen trackdays I think it would be advisable to change it while the gearbox is out.
Car is running 330/330 and is mainly used for trackdays.
What are the advantages of the 4/6pad clutches?
Which would be best suited to my car? (flywheel too?)

Hi, a paddle clutch has higher clamping force, which will take much more power and abuse compared to a standard clutch. However the trade-off is that most paddle clutches feel harsh in operation, almost on or off in some cases - although this is not a problem as you soon get used to it , but you wouldn't want to be stuck crawling in traffic with a high end race spec paddle unit! I've run conventiononal exedy 330mm clutches in my trackday imprezas running 350+ bhp without a problem. but if you are doing any standing starts, drag strip stuff or drifting etc it has to be a decent paddle clutch!
