As the title says. Since fitting a de-cat DP on my P1 when I boot it I now get a screeching noise now and again at really high revs. Guess it sounds like it's coming from the turbo. Anyone know what this is and means?
DP is a HKS
Exhaust is a HKS Hiper
Car is a P1.
Cheers

Possibly as it's not bolted onto the DP anymore, I'll try bending it back more and go for another blast.
Does sound more like a spinning noise though

Its a bad joint between two flanges, causing the gasket to vibrate in the leaking gas.
The effect is a bit like putting a blade of grass between the sides of both thumbs and blowing through the gap.

That's the noise Pete!
Always hard trying to describe it!
Is there a solution to the problem? What gasket? Which point in the exhaust system.
When I stuck the DP on it was just bolted directly to the turbo without any gasket/goo, was this wrong?
Cheers
