Further to my old post

The gearbox has been stripped and it looks shagged.

So I'm after a new (or recon) gearbox.

Will any Scooby gearbox fit?
Or is it just a standard WRX one that they stuck in the UK300's?

It's a WRX UK300 Prodrive. Wondering if a STi box will fit. Though they have an electronic dif' don't they?

Any boxes that definitely wont fit?
And any that definitely will?

Which brings me onto my final question..... you saw it coming!.....

Anybody know the best place to get one from and how much I should be looking at spending?

Been offered a '98 box from member "scooby parts" for £200 delivered.

Asking whether it'll fit and what the history of it is. Just waiting on a reply.

Been onto Subaru in the meantime and they said it probably wont fit.

Apparently I need a bug-eye one, and nothing as late as 03 ish.

So sounds like I need a 2001 - 2003 WRX box.

Though he said if I can get the chasis number of the car it is coming out of, he can tell me if it will fit.

Any help appreciated.
