Default gearbox whine...advice needed plz

hi ive got a 94 wrx and it has developed a whine, the higher the revs the louder the whine but if i dip the clutch the whine goes away, and also wen driving over bumps or dips in the road the whine gets louder with the sudden change in weight distribution.
ive put some molly slip in the gearbox with no change tho, still selects gears fine with no probs. could it be the diff?

im gona have a mechanic have a look but just wondering if anyone on here could help? thanks

if you dip the clutch and the noise goes its the gearbox bearings. When you dip the clutch you cut engine to gearbox.

Could be the clutch release bearing if it go's when you dip the clutch as that loads the bearing.

I have a whine when I've been raggin it, but it doesnt happen when driving normally and I got a feeling its to do with the power steering.

Either the fluid gets too hot and pump whines or sumin else... not sure. But when stopped after a bit of abuse and turning the wheel to park it whines when turning so thats why I've linked it to the power steering?

That and the fact it did it on my previous clutch and box and these have both been changed recently. Noise still the same.
