Question

So i fitted the boost gauge

Started rainin' so Dawes go left in the packet

Driving around today and on a long uphill piece of Dual carriage way i looks at me gauge to see that its holding steady at 13psi (I Think) Now am i correct in saying that a standard uk MY00 is "factory" set to hold 9 psi?

I have a itg filter and a decatted 2.5 inch zorst system.

If i'm already holding 13psi, what benefits are there to me fitting Dawes? Does it just get to 13psi quicker and hold it for longer or should i just get me coat

Mikey

13-14 is standard! Run your Dawes at a true 16.5 and Find fuel cut and keep turning it down by half a turn until it **JUST** doesn't fuel cut in 5th gear held full throttle for 5 seconds. THEN turn it down another half turn.

I think you will find that standard is 0.9bar which is 13psi

Hi,

You will feel the benifit of the dawes even if you run standard boost... because the dawes alters the boost curve characteristics... the ball and spring mechanism lets the boost rise with out the wastgate creeping ... so you will feel the boost come in earlyer in the rev range and an increase in torque..

I just ran and logged 19 so I think you are OK with 16.5 without a care to be honest?
