Too many boost spike worries.

 

Full Decat ( Scoobysport ) on MY97 for a year and now fitted one on my new scooby, MY99 RB5. Love em, but they are loud you can hear the turbo more as well.

 

I've got full scoobysport with downpipe. Love it. Beautiful sound.

 

Full Decat HKS Super Dragger & PE DP no probs just loads of turbo whistle and a big smile on my face everytime I floor it!!

 

Scoobysport DP, Magnex Resonated centre, Magnex backbox.......

No problems in 18months.....................

ScoobyMania downpipe,
powerflow custom built 3" centre/back 'cause the scoobymania pipes were too loud for me.

no problems, not too loud, transformed the car.

 

STi7, full decat, instant 1.7 bar boost spikes - I don't recommend it

 

Full scoobysport system fitted 9months ago on Sti6. No problems whatsoever. Noticeable difference - picks up quicker. Agree with Nezz10 "Beautiful sound". ;-)

MY99, PPP, K&N 57i cone filter, full-decat

Just wrecked a piston / engine....
Subaru NL sais its the K&N 57i / decat downpipe. I think that's bull****.

Had a full SS but it was too quiet So I now run with a BPM 3" centre and twister BB It has a bung to keep it sensible (still louder than full SS) but if you take it out you can almost see the sound wave as you drive along

Only bad point is if I want to go out early and forget to fit the bung I wake up the whole street.

Full decat Mongoose. Not too loud - lots of turbine noise. Wouldn't even dream of not having cats...

 

Magnex bb and centre with no resonator, just ordered magnex dp and cant wait. The difference was smart even with leaving the main cat (dp) in place so cant wait for the full lot. MY 99 by the way.

Full scoobysport system, coupled with a K&N 57i induction and a Forge TVA valve, sounds sweet, not forgetting the Tek2

No probs whatsoever.

I like it very much...oh and the flames!!!

I'd love to get the SS DP to complement my SS mid and SS backbox.
However, I'm concerned about the MOT/warranty problems.....having to replace mid section cat for MOT etc
What do people generally do come MOT time....and/or deal with warranty issues ?

HKS HYPER AND FULL DECAT HAD TO PUT THE STANDARD DOWNPIPE BACK ON BECAUSE OF BOOST SPIKES.
