Can anyone quantify the performance gains of a decat DP against the original?

Hi,
As the title ... it was long enuff! I have an MY00 with OTG Panel filter and a TEK2 ECU upgrade.
I'd love to know:
1, How much quicker Turbo spool up is
2, Does the turbo start to spool up at lower revs
3, Does Noise increases inside the car or is it just a different type of sound than we are used to
4, BHP and Torque increase figures
I guess others are also keen to quantify these things ... any help please?

Steve, can't quantify it, but I can remember that when I had my dp and center fitted, it picked up a lot quicker and earlier and is a lot louder.
I can also recall that the peak figures were surprising, as they weren't all that much changed,I can only think that the same principle as my Tek2 applies.

I know quantifying is difficult ... there seems to be almost an intangible nature to the better performance the exhaust creates- figures don't always tell the story ... much like the TEK2 as you say.
Noise - was it really louder or just nicer to hear what's going on in the turbo?

Have a MY00 with Catless exhaust all the way through and a Tek2 .....
To answer your questions .. in my opinion
1, How much quicker Turbo spool up is
Yes it does. Hard to quantify ............
2, Does the turbo start to spool up at lower revs
About 500rpm from memory. When the car was mint it seemed to spool at about 3000rpm, then went to about 2500pm with the downpipe. Now 2100 with the Tek2
3, Does Noise increases inside the car or is it just a different type of sound than we are used to..
Both.. I would say adding a Magnex backbox instead of the original doubled the noise. Adding the downpipe on this raised the noise but not as much as the backbox did. You can hear turbo whistle.
4, BHP and Torque increase figures
Car now has 270BHP / 260lbft... Downpipe provide about 15BHp of this
Best way is to take a drive in one with the Tek2 and DP. Where are you in the country

MY99 with Scorpian DP, catted centre and Bell & Colvill back box.
2) About 500rpm earlier for me as well
3) It is noiser. You can hear the turbo whistle a bit more now (sweet!) but nothing to OTT with my combination so I don't upset the neighbours at night Certainly more of the classic Scooby burble to be heard. Perhaps a tad nosier cruising at 80ish on the motorway but certainly doesn't drone - the B&C back box seems to be fruitest below 3000 and then quieten down a bit.
