Could somebody help me pleeeeeaase,

I've got a 93 WRX and recently got my Mits on a 95 WRX
ECU, can I just chop and change the ECU's or do I have
to do some other mods to get this new ECU to work? ?

All help appreciated, thanks in advance

Why do you want to change?

I want to change them over because the 93 WRX is only knocking out 240bhp and the 95 WRX ECU makes it knock 260bhp. Just not sure if anything else needs changing

it's probably not that simple but as I don't really know the correct answer, I'll bow out at this point....

Hi Stealth, I'm no expert but I think all pre 97 cars had the same type of ECU connector plugs so physically a 95 ECU will connect to
the 93 wiring loom. However I've got no idea if the engine/ignition/turbo specs changed or where the extra power of a 95 comes from (could it be bigger turbo, injectors etc ?)In which case swapping the ECU won't do much.
I would call Scoobysport 01268 590085 if they don't know they will probably know someone who does
Cheers John

Mervyn at Power Engineering will know off the top of his head. Give him a call on their dyno number.

Wink

Just plug it in, give it about 10 mins to learn stuff and it'll be great.

Mine was until it hit the hedge, rolled and broke my f@#king arm!

This will be fine.
