Default REAR DIFF OR CENTRE DIFF ???

HI THERE

THERE IS A DEFINATENOISE WHEN I PULL OFF AND AM TURNING AT THE SAME TIME , AND ALSO A DULL THUDDING NOISE AS I TAKE OFF . IN A STRAIGHT LINE IT SEEMS OK . SO I THOUGHT IT WAS THE LIMITED SLIP DIFF THAT WAS THPROBLEM . I CHANGED THE OIL , BUT STILL THE SAME PROBLEM . SO I THE CHANGED THE FUSE FROM 4 WD TO 2 WD , AND THE NOISE HAS GONE .

CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME ANY CLUES

THANKS

CLYDE

Do you have a dccd box? If so it won't make a noise if it's fully open/green when turning at slow speed. If it's locked up - even halfway- it will grumble at slow speed but it won't damage it. Just fully open it when manouevring.
I leave mine open all the time, unless it's very wet and slippery in which case I lock it a bit but only probably 20% of the range.
