Hi Andy
I am using a UK box in a 95 wrx import, the gearbox code is 754vn1aa. I am happy with the longer ratios and also the 2nd and 3rd syncros can take more abuse, reverse has also been revised.
the front diff and the gearbox are all in the same casing, when I changed the set up on my 95wrx I had to do the gearbox, rear diff and rear drive shafts as UK diff was not limited slip.
another thing to bear in mind is that the gearboxes begining with no.752 have 4 bolts holding it to the engine, those begining with no.754 have 8 bolts, not a problem it still fits using only 4 bolts but you would need to fit a threaded studd to the 754 box for the lower starter motor bolt.
Hope this is of some use to you
regards,
Greg
