hello,
can someone advise please,
recently had a new clutch fitted, when I reverse off my drive, especially when its cold and revs are higher, I get smell of clutch burn, the subaru dealer states this is normal, cluth has to bed in, apart from that it seems ok, is this normal,

My vehicle is a impreza wrx 2007

Hi yea its pretty normal, mine does it a lot of the time but mainly reversing up slopes etc.

Same here, when revving up hill, and reversing, i get that too.
After the bedding in, it will calm down, and you're get used to the bite point.
