What gearbox do i have?
Hi i own a subaru classic, was originally a GL but had a redtop manifold sti engine conversion at some point in its life. So oversly it has had the gearbox changed too.
What gearbox do i have or how can i tell, does it have a gearbox code which i can check? also it seems short shift, if this is any help. is it a P1, type r or just a sti gearbox.
I need to know because the clutch is slipping so need to know this information.
Thanks

Do you have the first 7 letters of the vin number? makes it easier to identify exactly what your car was, some imports were registered as GL's to get around some rules, but the vin number should say what the car started life as.

That's only part of the number but looks like it might be TY 754 VBAAA which is STi 5 4 door or P1.
