can i use ty52 gears in a ty54 case ?
i have a ty52 box that needs new bearings and a ty54 that needs new 3rd gear
now can i use the gears from the earlier box when i change the bearings and fit them in the later case ?

Seriously, You'll be very lucky if the ratios are exactly the same for a start and 3rd / 4th are a pair that cannot be separated. Then you run into trouble with the reverse gear parts as 752 / 754 reverse gear idlers are different and cannot be fitted into either case, which means that the input shaft which is part of 1st / 2nd & reverse is gearcase sensitive. Neither will correctly fit the other.
AND then the 752 gears for 3rd / 4th, even if they are the right ratios, use old style weak synchro rings and you are going to end up with a right mongrel of a box....
