The search for oil continues!!
I think Mobil only supply 0w/40 and 15w/50 now.
I've got 0w/40 in mine and been told by various sources to get it out. But everybody seems to have a different opinion!
I'm having some work done at TSL shortly and they're going to use Silkolene 10w/50.
If you're desperate, I would suggest using 15w/50 and then get something else in stock for future use.
Hope this helps!

I have just started using the Mobil 1 Motorsport 15w from Halfords seeing that it's warmer weather now. Very happy, slightly quieter engine wise and excellent oil pressure readings.
The Shell Ultra is 5w not 10w by the way .

I checked halford - they dont do it near me.
Did find Mobil 1 MOtor sport 15/50 - 30 quid for 4 litres - problem is I need 4.5 litres for a oil/filter change.
Would they mix it ?

Don't mix it!!
I think you can get it in 1 litre bottles as well.
If not, bite the bullet and buy 2! Don't skimp on it cos you'll end up ******** your engine at great expense!

Hi,
my car is serviced by the dealer, and they use helix plus 10W40 too, thats the oil grade that the handbook recommends...semi synthetic.
the helix ultra by the way is 5W30 grade and not 10W40.
cheers

Trumble, the oil you want is Castrol RS 10-60 which is not a normal Halfords stock line. Any 0 or 5 rated oil is too thin. If you can't get the Castrol or one of the other recommended synth oils, the Mobil Motorsport 15-50 is very good.

Yep - I realised that and went back and swapped it for the 15/50.
Now all I have to do is remember to change it in 3 months time !
Thanks Again !
