he he... of course.

rev my car up to about the 7k limit and the engine cut off for like 1-2 secs. i presume that is fuel cut? or overboost?

i quite agree with your modding by doing the fuel regulator and stuff as i was drawing up a plan for that b4 your post appeared and HAPPY is all i can say.

for a novice modder like me, very satisfied that someone like you actually thought about it as well.

currently 93wrx. only mods are hks superflow, bov and hiper (no cats) and bleed valve. fcd coming soon and probably will add the fuel regulator.

will adjust the boost coz std is about 0.6-0.7 bar which is very disappointing. will try to clean solenoid (first timer) this weekend.

any other ideas to increase boost and torque?

thanks for the help

Usually people hit overboost fuel cut even on large turbos a bit earlier than that, but the rev limiter I thought was at 7500 on a WRX?

You will need a bucket load of monitoring equipment and a fair bit of discipline.

that's why i'm puzzled. the speedo show red at 7k and not 7.5k.

anyway, will definitely go for an uprated fuel regulator.
which is recommended? the fse, hks or this new sard thing i saw on the taka kaira website?

what kind of monitoring device is essential? air fuel monitor?
will swapping into a later wrx ecu (260bhp/280bhp) give any advantage over my 240 bhp ecu on fuelling, ignition and std boost?

It's not me that has been doing the fuel reg stuff. A UK MY00 which I have has plenty of fuel for the weedy turbo. Your car is perhaps the other way around - fuelling will be your main concern as well as too much timing advance for our fuel, especially if you up the boost.
