I've been noticing my MY99 turbo spooling up at the slightest throttle movements recently and it seems to be geting worse. Everything seems ok as in no loss of power etc but i'm worried somethings on it's way out as it never used to do this. If someone could point me in the right direction please.(to worry or not to worry!)

 

Is the car standard?
Do you have a full decat system?
Do you have a down pipe fitted??

Could be a leaking Dump Value, but would expect a loss in performance really.

arnt turbo's meant to whistle.?????? dont no i have heard whistling alot when a meets.

 

Yes they are meant to whistle but this one is getting louder and i wondered if anything was wrong.

 

Check all the induction piping and the like. Could be a leaky pipe somewhere.
