Question Where is the r diff temp sensor ...

... on a MY06 STi?

After my last service the warning light comes on when cold, then goes off when the car warms up.

I see a lead coming from the back of the diff, around about mid height. I have unplugged and cleaned that to no avail.

Is there another connection? If not, what might the garage have done?

I assume the light is not supposed to come on to indicate cold oil?

Any advice gratefully received.

I found the rear diff light on my 06 STi came on when I took the alternator belt off.
Perhaps there is something amiss in that area instead?
