Hi,

My brother has just fitted this to his MY97. It is the loudest DV I have ever heard, including Blitz and the like.

It's made by Turbosmart and cost about £240 including the adaptor kit and delivery from Aus.

Check the website

www.turbosmart.com.au

Cheers

Rich

edited to say that trumpet is 2.5" in diameter!

We have had a lot of great feedback regarding the Blitz Super Sound Dump Valve Can also supply the HKS system. Have a look at www.scoobyworld.co.uk for more info or drop me a mail.

Hope that helps

Question

Hardy

Have a look at the HKS main site (USA) www.hksusa.com - not a great deal there but better than nothing

"Will it have any affect on the running of the car?" do you mean fuel economy or performance or something else?

Neil, can I jump in with the questions already posed. Am considering a DV but am confused on the difference between to air and re-circ. Is one supposed to be better for the car than the other ?

Other than noise etc, what other effects, good or bad, will a DV (assume blitz) have. Last question, how easy are they to fit ?

Thanks

G

Re-circ DV's are what come on the car as standard.
Vent to Atmos DV's make the "Ptishhhhhhhhhhhhhh" sound (this sound varies between different makes of DV though).

I have a Baileys atmos dump valve on mine. Really easy to fit once you get convince the block off pipe to go on

Thanks guys, so vent to atmos it is...but are there any other effects caused by this - is there any danger to the engine, will consumption go up / down....don't want to do this and find out that it is harmful to the engine etc.

Some people say they aren't healthy for the engine but I've yet to hear of anyone that's had a problem because of fitting an Atmos dv.

There's also a myth that fuel consuption goes up because of one but that's only the case because owners are probably rev'ing in to the turbo zone more often just so they can hear the noise of the DV

Ive just fitted my blitz super sound dump valve this morning to my MY01, replacing my old forge unit and it does sound the dogs. Very loud indeed

I have run vent to atmos valves on all my turbo cars and never had any problems with them. If anything they are better than the std car's as they release the air from the turbo more effeciently. IMHO!

Hi,

Well, we've not had any unhappy customers / reported problems from the numerous VTA valves we have sold to date, and I've also not heard of any problems using these from other users.
