My 96 UK turbo has recently developed the above problem. Started off as a tiny squeek which only happended when the pedal was initially depressed (first couple of inches before the clutch is actually engaged).

Sometimes its a full on "rusty old hinges door opening" squeek which happens when the pedal is pressed all the way down. Seems to come and go but is hapening more often.

Obviously I'm a complete novice, does something need lubricating? please don't say it's fu**ed and on the way out. Just spent £650.00 on some leather buckets!

Any help/comments will be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

There are full instructions on getting over this, were to grease etc.

It was definately on here in the last few weeks,I cant remember the title, but I expect it will be pretty obvious, unless someone else can remember it.

Anyway,it shows were to grease etc, good hunting mate.
Sorry I wasnt more helpful.

Cheers Mel,

I think this is the same link as the one I found by going back through the old posts. It did say that the same method works on the UK turbos but my engine looks nothing like the one pictured.

Think I'll have to get someone to have a look at it, don't fancy trying to dismantle anything myself!

Thanks for the help anyway.

This worked for me on a MY00 Turbo. Was a bit of effort though but the clutch is smoother and doesnt squeek. I bled the clutch at the same time. Obviously on a Turbo you have an intercooler in place of the airbox on the RS on that page.
