I've got an HKS one going for £50 if you want one (barely used & I've worked the instructions out from Japanese too ) but I'd have thought that if you're having fuel cut-off problems then you want to fix the problem, not just ignore it

Just a mo - is this for MY01+ or MY00- ?

Cunning,
Be very very careful using it or you may end up running the engine lean and saying bye bye engine. Best to uprate your fuelling at the same time as using this.

You have been warned

since i put a forge dump valve on it got worse and when driven hard i get backfire, fuel economy also became a joke.so would unichip solve all this.

CS,

Taking the Dump Valve off would solve some of the problem. Putting on a FCD because of hitting the fuel cut really is not a good idea. You should try and fix the real issue at hand which is Boost control.

If you are deliberately running more boost and are hitting the fuel cut and want a little more boost then that's another matter. Just putting in a FCD could result in even higher boost peaks and you could wave goodbye to your engine....

The Unichip itself is not/does not come with a Boost Controller but I think that the new product now comes with an optional controller. I don't know if it's just a bleed valve/restrictor type affair or a proper Electronic Valve controller. You could speak to Powerstation or Power Engineering about the Unichip.

The other options are a Dawes Manual Boost controller (but you'd need at least a Boost gauge and an Air Fir Ratio monitor and some know-how to get it setup), or one of the many Electronic Boost Controllers on the market like the HKS EVC or the APEXi AVC-R.
