exedy LWFW and clutch problem.

exedy LWFW and clutch problem.
Hi guys.
I have an odd problem and cant seam to get to the bottom of it.
I have just changed the clutch and flywheel on my 94 WRX.
I fitted an exedy lightened flywheel and an exedy OEM clutch with new pressure plate and bearing.
All went together fine and the bearing and fork are all located fine and clutch pedal feels good..
Rebuilt everything and fired it up and all sounded good until I pressed the clutch.
It made a rattle/rubbing noise so I shut it off.
it does this the min you push down the pedal even if its just a little bit but it does go into gears fine..
So I stripped the IC and starter motor off to check things and it looks like the pressure plate is just catching/rubbing on the bearing release fork and this is causing the noise.(only just skimming it)
the flywheel and clutch are bolted up tight and correctly so I am not sure how this has happened and how to rectify.
I was looking forward to the light wheel so dont really want to take it off but short of it being an odd clutch (bad batch etc) i dont know what could have caused this other than the flywheel.
Has anyone else had/ heard of this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will be stripping it back again later today but just trying to see where things have gone wrong.
I will try it with standard flywheel and see if that sorts I guess but wanted the lightened one really.
I will see if there is a spacer too but not sure.
Its only just skimming, could i get the back of fly skimmed slightly as its not one of the really light exedys, or could i grind a little off the fork as it would prob only need 1/2mm.
Any ideas.
Thanks

i know when i put a clutch in once i was getting a ratteling noice for a couple of seconds and it went after that. but that clutch had a few problems of its own. also it could be related to the clutch pressure plate being too tight which is what i did first off.

grr.
Exedy flywheel is 2mm thicker than standard (my fault for not measuring)
Does anyone know if facelift flys are thicker than pre facelift.
Anyway put it back together with stock fly, got it all done.
pressed clutch and it was all good for 3 presses then a clonking noise and pedal hit floor.
Turns out the clutch fork has bent the clips it sits in on the bearing and broken out.
now I have to do it all over again because of a faulty part.
