What part of the system contributes most to the noise in an exhaust system.....I have a Hi flo Cat system on the car, but am finding it too obtrusive, compared to the Prodrive P1 WR system.
If I was to change just the rear box for a more silenced version, how much power is one likely to lose??
Cheers

I think the backbox contributes most in terms of intrusive noise.
Given that a freeflowing backbox probably contributes around 5-7bhp, a quieter but slightly less freeflowing one is unlikely to make much difference to performance.
Remus are supposed to make one of the quietest - about £200 from Demon Tweeks or Elite.
Cheers
