Clutch Pedal bollocks!

Clutch Pedal bollocks!
Ah, been searching the last while but cant see a similar problem.
My Clutch was 100% last week, but now the biting point is actually on the floor! and i mean you have to have all your pressure on the pedal to reach enough of a biting point to get it into gear, then if you release the pressure in the slightest bit the car will take off!
Also cant get its past the biting point enough to get it into Reverse.
The motion off the pedal is no different to how it used to be, but for some reason i think the lever mechanism is fubar'd.
Has this ever happened anyone before? And if it is a lever problem, would the impreza share a design with the Legacy's? Few legacys in the the scrapyard you see....
ps. its a 1997 WRX with 150,000km

Problem fixed. The foremost bolt that connects the Clutch pedal mount to the bulkhead was completely missing. No idea where it went to, but looks like the mount has been removed in the past as theres an ugly as sin weld at the top of it.
