How is the ECU resetting done in MY02 WRX? I would like to start from the beginning

Also, has anyone ever had a new program uploaded to the ecu? My mate got new program for his 206Gti when in service yesterday.

IIRC The MY01/02 ecu has been completly revised and is now no longer retardation only.. it will advance the ignition when it gets better fuel etc.. apparantly (was talking to a mechanic I know) that it also does minor fault diagnosis and correction

Not sure what you mean here... do you mean upgrade the firmware? i.e. the controlers program software or the engine mapping? I have no idea whether either is possible in the new ecu's (although I doubt verry much they can be remapped).

206 GTis had a well-known problem that I can't remember & their firmware was upgraded to sort it out. Nope, can remember it - stalling at idle. Anyway, early ECU, slightly different ways of doing things I imagine.
