Default R180 diff which shafts and hubs

currently sorting a deal out on a DCCD box and diff however i know the driveshafts and hubs are thicker and differant to R160.

so my questions is

other than a TYPE R P1 22B where else can i find matching shafts and hubs to get these fitted?

or does it have to come from the above cars has they will be very hard to find?

thanks

P1 are R160 size so won't fit.

Any Newage STI will have the correct shafts and hubs.

Fronts will be fine as is unless you have the later type DCCD box (Hawkeye) in which case you'll need the gearbox stubs to mate your current drive shafts to.

There's no real reason to go R180.

All you need to do is pair the rear ratio up not size.

A 6 speed dccd box will go with both R160 and R180 diff as long as the ratio's are correct.

If the Box is a UK box you could use a 3.54 R160 rear diff.

If the box is jap get yourself a 3.9 R160.

That way you wont need to change the shafts, hubs and brakes.

I did just this on my old UK Classic. I ran an R160 3.54 rear diff with no proplems at 450bhp.

Food for thought.

If the DCCD 5 speed box you buy has a 4.44 final drive ratio, and you want to use an R160 rear diff with small hubs, then you'll need the R160 diff from a P1.

IIRC, the R160 from a P1 is the only small diff that has a 4.44 ratio and LSD.

4.44 CWP can also be found in some NA Legacys, but they will have an open diff.

It's not necessarily R160 - Sti3's had single pot rear calipers on R180 hubs - What's the brake disc diameter?
