Default gearbox problems with pictures please help

hi people need your help with my subaru gearbox i was driving it the other night i did launch it hard but after i started having problems selecting gears
about 20 mins later it got worse and in the end it just got stuck in 1st and i could not select any gears. at home next day i tryed to remove it of my drive but just would not let me select the gears the gearstick was jammed.
so i thought it was proberbly a knackered cog or something inside so just out of curious i opened the gearbox up today and a big section fell out.i have checked all the cogs by spinning them and they all seem to be in tacked none missing the only problem i could find was the section that fell out could anybody let me no what it is as i have another gearbox spare that i can remove the section from and refit it into my gearbox. also would this section that broke cause wll the problems also it was the section from when i removed the diff section of the gearbox kind regards ben

At a guess the interlocks wouldnt work correctly as that shaft would be too far out, just a bit of a guess though.

Thats part of the selector fork. Loooks like you've probably twisted the fork somehow and snapped it off.

Some forks are selective throw as are some of the selector rails. The actual fork that is broken should have a small 0 or 1 or 2 I think, cast on it. You'll need the same. Don't try putting a 2 where an 0 was or any thing other than like for like.

Ditto the rails, But I think that the different rails are the difference between TY752 type and TY754 type on reflection.

Good luck David APi
