Default Replacing Gearbox - Which one?

Got a 96 uk turbo, think the gearbox has done a fair shift (111k) so looking to replace with a different box.
What would you guys recommend?
Running close to 300bhp and wont be going much over that.
Tempted by an ra or sti box for the closer ratio, but will put my longer 5th gear on.
Only use the car for short commute and leisure so wouldn't be too bothered by close ratio but with a td05 I think it could make for a nippy car.
Also would I have to change the rear diff with both the ra and sti boxes?

So, ra box with uk 5th gear, sti with 5th gear or rebuild mine, you decide

I wouldnt bother, i used a shorter 5th from a wrx and it was crap, ended up selling the box on after a month.

the jump from forth to 5th will be massive using a uk 5th.

a wrx box is a good compromise between the 2 (uk/ra)

Job to know what there worth really. My mate on surreyscoobies just sold his type R one for £800 but mine is STI RA with type R DCCD.
Have no idea of milage as bought it off my mate on surreyscoobies, but it works perfect.
He recently fitted it in my type R and took the DCCD apart and cheacked it out and gave it a spring clean and all was good.
I have it for sale on a few scoobie sites at £650 ATM but had no replies.
As i say,i love the box(motorways aside) but am getting a massive power increase in the new year that will ruin the box and clutch(450-500bhp) so selling it on.
