Time to replace clutch - what to go for?
#1
I have a '94 WRX import. 59k miles. The clutch is in need of replacement, and I would like to know whether to go for an uprated one, and what type.
Possibilities mentioned so far:
Standard WRX clutch - £320 + VAT
STi clutch 3 paddle
AP organic racing clutch
Can someone please advise me on the advantages and disadvantages of the options, and costs, and what you recommend.
Feel, durability, performance, cost, etc. What is important?
What is all this about paddles? :-)
Thanks
Piers

The AP organic is quite popular,as is the helix.
If you go for AP dont get the cerametallic(sp?),no good for normal use.
The paddle thing is the way the clutch is made,so a 3 paddle clutch has 3 bits that are similar to brake pads which bite in when you release the pedal.
