cusco rear diff identification

Default cusco rear diff identification

i baught a version 5 impreza that i broke not so long ago, i was advised that it had a cusco rear diff, i have removed it now,

im wondering how to identify it as cusco diff, how can i tell itsa a cusco diff & not a standard 1??

Same as any other, Its the insides that will differ.

Or more specifically the diff. assembly will be non standard (Cusco), whilst the crownwheel and pinnion will likely be standard...

Open it up and have a look

here are some pictures now i have the diff out of its casing

is it a cusco as i havent seen a standard diff to compare

that is a standard non plated LSD diff.
