Default Gearbox question

Hiya just need to confirm , will a uk 2000 gearbox from a 1997 car fit in a 1995 wrx import. Have been told it will bolt straight in , but I am not 100%

I'm not 100% but think final ratio is different.

No it won't unless you fit gearbox and matching diff as a pair. It will physically fit the car but Imports have different final drive ratios to uk cars.

As a general rule a gearbox with suffix VB will not fit suffix VN and vice versa without changing the rear diff,
