I recently broke my V.7 WRX box which is TY754VN2AA. I replaced it with the more available TY754VN4AA V.8 WRX box. All i required was the V.8 driveshafts to make it work because the bugeye box has female ends on the driveshafts where it mates to the box and blobeye driveshafts have a male end where it mates to the box. In theory you could use a TY754VN2AA box off a bugeye so long as you have the drive shafts to match as well. All V.7-V.8 WRX run the same diff ratios back and front which maes it an easy swap to do.
