WAHT PART DO HEATER WIRES PLAY IN LAMBDA

I think my Lambda sensor has had it after 2 minutes from cold it hesitates under 3000rpm above that its fine.

What part do the heater wires from the unit do could the sender supplying them be faulty?

Heater wire, do what is says on the tin.

They are connected to the pre-heater within the Lambda sensor to get the thing up and working quicker.

The usual fault with the heater within the Lambda is that the element breaks down and hence the pre-heater fails to work and you have to get alot of heat into the Lambda before it becomes efficient.

You could check this with a DVM accross the heater connections.

Mine failed last year and manifested itself on the MOT. It took nearly the whole MOT session to get it hot enough to pass the CAT test.

Hence a new Lambda was fitted shortly after......
