Default Sensor on rear diff of spec d?

Hey all,

Can anyone confirm if the rear diff of a 2007 spec d Dccd car has a temp sensor? It's nothing to do with the dccd setup itself is it?

What temps do the spec d diffs run at then? Must of been a concern if subaru put sensor on it and wired it to DCCD oe controller...
Just wondering with my power figures if should monitor that diff temp some how when on 65/35 split...
I've got a gearbox temp sensor in the "sump" plug but not had runs in here yet since fitting so no idea what average and high is but this wont help with running more power to rear.

Taken from STi 06 workshop manual:

"Moreover, the rear differential oil temperature switch opens when the rear differential oil temperature exceeds 150° C (302° F) causing the rear differential oil temperature warning light in the combination meter to turn on and switch the center differential in the transmission toward differential lock operation."

Did you not get the warning light on the dash when you did this mate ? If so, how did you get around that ?

Magic, thanks Nick, means I can wire a LED to this switch and she'll earth when things get to hot. Wont have the auto function of moving dccd selection like oe DCCD ecu but will work just the same as I'll just back off or go manual. Mint, thanks again.

When you say "binned" luke is there any chance you kept the connector as I've just noticed I've not got one and they're an odd type of connector. Would skip it but I just put a load of wiring in the car with LED ready for fitting...doh
