Post Help needed to Identify Front LSD

Hi,

I need help to identify the make of the LSD that was in my RA box.

I was told when i got the car it had a Quaife ATB front lsd.

I am selling the box, and a potential buyer asked me to confirm the make of the diff.

I took the diff out, but cannot find any marks to identify it.

can any of you tell from the pictures?

I have placed them as links, as they are 10Meg high res.

It definitely looks like a Plate type to me too.

I would have thought their should have been some type of Identification marks on it.

For sure its a plated LSD diff and its certainly not a Quaife ATB (google a picture of an ATB)
As to the manufacturer I have no idea

Most likely (and looks to me like) a Subaru STi OE plate diff fitted on certain models (all DCCD, but not all DCCD have LSD front diffs), that is made by Hitachi, this is often referred to in Japan as 'torsen' and therefore confused with the 'Torsen Zexel' made diff whcih is similar to the Quaife being worm geared.

Cusco and Kaaz make most of the non OE plate diffs, try their websites for some good comparison pics!

Hmmmm I'd seen them listed as torsen on one site, and plated STI on another....

Cheers,

Hitachi make a torsen diff like the atb diff. standard on sti4-6 RA.

Not that I have seen (not saying they don't), regardless search japanese vendors on ebay/yahoo auctions and plate diffs are often described as Torsen.
